December 08 The SolitaireOneThe SolitiareOne is a primarly a blues and classic rock band who's sound is kind of throwback to the 60s. A sound meld of styles similar to the styles of Eric Burdon and the Animals, Creedance Clear Water, Rolling Stones and Tom Petty rolled into one. While some of the bands music reminds one of the 60s British Invasion their recording of a jazzy blues single called "Betty Grey Belle" that reminds one of a James Bond Movie with it's soulful style of music. Though at times there has been as many as 4 people in the band playing together. Yet for some reason there has never been more than two on any single recording. In most of the older recordings there has been only one person. Some of the more recent recordings have had a very very significant influence. That being of the newest member. She is a talented singer, writer, and key board player and a long time former member of successful band. So now with this new injection of additional talent with a different style- there is a fresh new sound resulting from a meld of styles. The result is that right now a number of recordings in process have two people in them. It was headed for 3 even 4 but the bass player has become unable to continue at least for some time. That is now problem for the recordings since the main member and founder of this studio band as plays bass as well as other intruments. So we will keep plugging along and keep recordings for now and enjoying the process. In the past some have commented that The SolitaireOne had in it's sound traces or elements of the styles of Tom Petty, Creedance Clearwater, and Steely Dan, TheWho, Eric Burdon, and the Rolling Stones even Neil Young was once mentioned. But with this new injection of talent it will be interesting to see what people say about the sounds of some of the new songs coming out from The SolitaireOne.
